Courses for obtaining the working profession “Security guard”

Sumy State University provides vocational training and qualification improvement for the profession 5169 “Security Guard” (1-4 grades) based on the license from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, series AE No. 52799, and the certificate of accreditation, series RD No. 040871.

Training is conducted in accordance with the State Standard for Vocational Education 5169-OK.74.60-2014.

Vocational training includes general professional training, professional theoretical training, and professional practical training (industrial training, industrial practice). Upon completion of the training, a state qualification certification is carried out, after which the qualification of “Security Guard” of the corresponding grade (1-4) is assigned, and a certificate of qualification (promotion) of the state standard is issued.

Requirements for future security guards:

1) Age: at least 18 years upon completion of training;

2) Restrictions as defined according to Article 11 of the Law “On Security Activities” dated March 22, 2012, No. 4616-IV, namely:

– not registered with health authorities for mental illness, alcoholism, or drug addiction;

– no unpaid or unexpunged convictions for intentional crimes;

– no restrictions imposed by the court on performing their functional duties;

– registered at the place of residence in accordance with the law.

Documents required for enrollment:

– application (filled out at the university);

– copy of the document on complete or basic secondary education;

– copy of the passport (1, 2 pages, and registration);

– copy of the identification number.

For qualification improvement (grades 2-4), a copy of the certificate of qualification (promotion) to the relevant grade of security guard is added to the document package.

Training is conducted on a contractual basis at the expense of individuals and legal entities based on concluded contracts.
